Coronavirus (Covid-19) Update 05/01/2021 COVID-19 Update
Following the national lockdown in England announced yesterday (04/01/21) and the subsequent guidance from our optical governing bodies, we would like to reassure you that we are able to remain open.
As an optical practice we will remain in 'Amber' phase which means that we can continue to provide eyecare in a COVID safe environment.
We will continue to prioritise those that need it most and would ask those that are having no problems or concerns to consider deferring their visit until a time when some of the restrictions have been eased.
We are open for business ... safely
We wanted to let you know about some changes we’ve implemented when you next book and attend an appointment. The changes are being made as a result of the Government’s guidance on coronavirus (COVID-19) and are designed with your safety in mind.
To ensure we can adhere to social distancing rules, we will only see patients who have booked an appointment in advance. You can book an appointment by calling
or visiting our website at 01704 550770 https://www.willettsopticians.co.uk/coronavirus-covid19-update.html.
When you contact us to book an appointment, we will ask you a few questions to see if we can offer you eye care advice over the phone in the first instance.
If demand for appointments is high, we will prioritise people with essential, urgent or emergency requirements, such as recent changes to your vision. This also includes appointments for those who require new spectacles or contact lenses due to visual difficulties, or because they have lost or broken their existing spectacles.
In order to aid social distancing, we ask you to attend your appointment alone, unless it is not possible for you to do so. If you need someone to accompany you, please let us know when you book.
Please DO NOT attend the practice if you, or someone you have come into contact with, has COVID-19 or has symptoms such as a new and persistent cough, fever or loss of taste and smell.
In order to aid social distancing, we ask you to attend your appointment alone, unless it is not possible for you to do so. If you need someone to accompany you, please let us know.
